Explore, hike, hunt, fish, or paddle areas affected by Plum Creek’s proposal.  Use our website’s interactive map to share your knowledge and ideas about these locations, resources or experiences.  

Add your name to our contact list to receive updates on the work of the Moosehead Region Futures Committee.  

Donate to the work of the MRFC.  Donate on our website or send a donation to the “Moosehead Region Futures Committee,” PO Box 102, Greenville, Maine, 04441. Donations support our office, printing and website expenses and pay for a coordinator who helps us communicate with residents and supporters of the region, other stakeholder groups, and the media. Donations (small and large) from area residents and Moosehead supporters have made our services possible!   Thank you!

Review Plum Creek’s application; Maine’s Land Use Regulation Commission will send you a CD, for free (call 207-287-2631 or email LURC@maine.gov). Hard copies of the application are available for viewing at the Greenville Town Office and Greenville library, the Rockwood Post Office, and the Beaver Cove Town Office.

Send letters to state and local papers.

Communicate your knowledge and ideas to Maine’s Land Use Regulation Commission (LURC). You can follow the progress of LURC’s evaluation of Plum Creek’s proposal at the following website:

[Although this document was developed for the 2005 “scoping sessions” held by LURC, the section on “What type of input is being sought from the public?” and the “Criteria for Approval of Concept Plans” remain valid with regard to LURC’s current evaluation of Plum Creek’s proposal.]

Public testimony sessions have been scheduled as follows:
  • Saturday December 1 in Greenville
  • Sunday December 2 in Augusta
  • Saturday December 15 in Portland
  • Sunday December 16 in Greenville
